Aaron and Beth established the Leventhal Fund in 1996 in recognition of their interest in helping Jewish youth. The Leventhal Fund provides scholarships for Jewish youth to attend outstanding Jewish-oriented programs in Columbus and Israel. Whenever possible the Fund will provide scholarships for economically disadvantaged children.
Numerous memorial contributions to the Leventhal Fund have been made from family members and friends in honor of Aaron’s brother, Harold, and his father Jack, both of blessed memory.
Aaron grew up actively involved in the Cleveland Jewish community, graduated from The Ohio State University, and served as director of the OSU Hillel Foundation and Days of Creation Arts Program for Kids for many years. All of these experiences enriched his life and gave him a deep appreciation of the importance of providing quality Jewish experiences for children and young adults.
Since its inception in 1996, The Leventhal Fund has been generously supported by the Leventhal family and friends, and many young people have benefited from programs at the Leo Yassenoff Jewish Center Camp and Hillel Leadership Programs.
