Babette & James Feibel
When Great-Grandmother Mirma Plaut sailed from Germany to America and when Grandfather Max Brener journeyed from Lithuania and peddled clothes across the Appalachians, neither envisioned the extent to which their descendants would be able to participate as full-fledged citizens in a pluralistic society and simultaneously partake of a rich and vibrant Jewish life.
In gratitude, the Abels and the Feibels have always given generously to our community. The lesson we were taught by our parents’ example of the obligation to “give something back” has guided us to help those in need and to provide financial support to our institutions. We pray our Columbus Jewish Foundation endowment will set an example for our children and grandchildren that each of us must leave the World a little better for having been here.
