Your health and safety is our number one priority.
Throughout the course of this pandemic, JewishColumbus continues to follow the advice of experts and current guidance from the CDC. And when the pandemic started, we assembled a taskforce to assist us in establishing the safest policies and procedures. This taskforce includes experienced professionals with medical, public health, mental health, legal and operation backgrounds:
Listen to the experts and help us protect the health and safety of our community.
As local COVID-19 cases rise and the Delta variant continues to predominate, the current recommendation is to avoid large events and gatherings as much as possible. Virtual meetings are recommended to limit interactions. Preliminary evidence shows that the Delta is transmissible by the vaccinated – whether symptomatic or not. Wearing a mask is an extra layer of prevention that will help protect you and others.
The loudest message we heard from experts is if you are unvaccinated, you are unprotected. This virus can be deadly; and, the vaccines are highly effective to help prevent death and hospitalization. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is free and will help protect you. Learn about the benefits of COVID-19 vaccination: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/facts.html.
We are here for you.
In the past 18 months the world has changed, and so has JewishColumbus. We learned important, culture-altering lessons and new audiences through virtual programming and created greater flexibility for volunteer participation. The rapid change to virtual amplified our productivity– challenging us to work harder and smarter for our community. Please know that we are here for you, just like always.
With “Virtual First,” we can meet you where you are.
While JewishColumbus’ headquarters remain on College Avenue, we have implemented a “Virtual First” work environment. Virtual First gives our staff the opportunity to choose their primary work location – either from their home or from the JewishColumbus office. We aspire to create a best-in-class culture and work environment, striving to retain and attract the best talent to meet the needs of our community. We are very excited about this, as Virtual First energizes JewishColumbusallowing us to reimagine and increase community engagement. And once safe to do so, this model will empower our staff to expand their reach across the greater Columbus community. We are always happy to meet you where you are, so please reach out using the contact information on our staff webpage.
