JCYF Session #3: Developing a Funding Priority and Grant Process Overview

 

Goals:

  • Articulate the Jewish value of Machlochet L’Shem Shamayim and model ethical and productive debate.
  • Have an informed discussion and reach consensus about a funding priority.
  • Understand the grants RFP and approval process.

Objectives:

  • Learn from a Jewish communal leader about the value of machlochet l’shem shamayim (a dispute for the sake of heaven).
  • Participate in a model grants approval process with JewishColumbus staff and learn about the grant approval process.
  • Engage in a structured discussion, embodying the values of ethical debate, to develop a Funding Priority.
  • Vote and approve funding priority.
