Our parents on both sides – Libbie and Meyer Schottenstein and Jennie and Ben Gendel – all taught us to help others without question. What’s most moving to me about being Jewish is the feeling that the entire community is extended family. I want the Columbus Jewish Community to be able to continue to support the social, physical and religious needs of all the Jews here. We have made this gift in honor of our nine children and grandchildren. We hope that they will realize our commitment to Jews everywhere and this community in particular, and that they will continue to carry the torch forward.
