Ori has extensive experience in Government, Diplomacy and Strategic Relations. Throughout his career, Ori has been dedicated to strengthening Israel’s security, fostering U.S.-Israel relations, and enhancing Jewish community life through education and leadership. Ori serves as a Senior Adviser for Policy & Defense Cooperation for Israel’s Ministry of Defense at the Embassy of Israel in Washington, D.C. Since 2019, he has been instrumental in advancing defense cooperation between Israel and the United States, engaging in high-level dialogues and collaborations with the U.S. Administration, Non-governmental organizations and industry.
Before his tenure in Washington, Ori served as a geo-political analyst at Israel’s Prime Minister’s Office from 2017 to 2019, where he provided critical intelligence reports for the Prime Minister and the National Security Council. His work focused on Israel’s security challenges, both domestically and internationally, and he was deeply involved in coordinating security operations and managing sensitive intelligence. Ori’s career began in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), where he served as a combat officer in the Paratroopers Brigade from 2011 to 2015.
His leadership experience in the military included managing teams of soldiers through rigorous training and operational missions. After completing his military service, Ori took on a role as a youth guide at the Azrieli Educational Institute, mentoring high school students from marginalized communities, promoting their Jewish identity, and encouraging personal development. Ori holds a Master’s degree in Diplomacy and National Security Studies from Tel Aviv University and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Economics from the Open University of Israel.
Ori is married to Lia and together they have a son named Adam and a dog named Cindy.
