About the Speakers

Sheryl Sandberg
An American technology executive, philanthropist, and writer. Sandberg served as chief operating officer of Meta Platforms, a position from which she stepped down in August 2022. She is also the founder of LeanIn.Org.

Julie Platt
Julie Platt, currently serves as Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA),  past Chair of the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, and the immediate past Chair of the Foundation for Jewish Camp.  Julie has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Pennsylvania since 2006 and now serves as Vice Chair. Her commitment to community is deep as she also holds board seats for Harvard Westlake School and Cedars Sinai Hospital

From her roots at Camp Ramah to her leadership roles at Jewish Federations and Jewish camping, Julie has dedicated herself to the Jeowsh people. She was one of the first signers of the Jewish Future Pledge, designating at least 50% of her charitable giving to Jewish or Israel related causes. Her outstanding vision, leadership, and soul make a deep impact on the lives of so many.
