Join us and our Senior Shlicha, Michal Avera Samuel, as she brings a part of her Ethiopian-Israeli heritage to Columbus. Sigd is a holiday celebrated by the Ethiopian Jewish community that focuses on accepting the Torah and yearning for Israel and the Temple.
This event is in collaboration with Ethiopian Tewahedo Social Services (ETSS) and local community Ethiopian members, and features the inspiring story of Efraim Zion Lawi, the first Israeli-born Qes (an Ethiopian Cohen or Rabbi).
