Giborei Yisrael: Honoring our Fallen Heroes
Doors open at 5:30 pm
Join us as we pay tribute to the brave souls who stood tall on October 7th,
commemorating their resilience and spirit.
Humans of October 7
Step into the stories behind the lens with Erez Kaganovitch, esteemed photojournalist and creator of “Humans of Tel Aviv”, “Humans of Israel”, and “Humans of the Holocaust” projects. In response to the tragic events of October 7th, Erez sheds light on the human side of Israel, countering misconceptions and rising antisemitism. His exhibit captures the essence of Israeli strength and unity, showcasing the extraordinary individuals who stood against adversity.
Join us for a compelling discussion with Erez as part of this year’s Yom HaZikaron ceremony. His poignant photographs will be on display in the JCC lobby, traveling thereafter to partner agencies, spreading the message of resilience far and wide.

Visit by heroes and witnesses to the Israel-Hamas war
In collaboration with the Jewish Agency for Israel, we are honored to welcome heroes and witnesses, offering firsthand accounts of October 7th and their continued engagement in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Additionally, immerse yourself in a touching video from our partner city, Kfar Saba, as they share the stories of lost community members and honor those who have departed since October 7th.
Participate in a heartfelt exchange of stories from community members and families of lone soldiers. Engage in memorial songs, prayers, videos, candle lighting, and more as we come together to honor the memories of our fallen heroes.
Join us in commemorating their legacy and reaffirming our commitment to peace and unity.
Together, let us stand strong in remembrance.
