Hanna, JewishColumbus’ Jewish Community Disabilities Inclusion Director, plays a crucial role in our organization. During the summer, she oversees JCC’s Arye Inclusion Program, ensuring that children of all abilities have a meaningful camp experience. However, her responsibilities extend beyond the summer months. Throughout the year, Hanna strives to create opportunities for people of all ages to engage in Jewish life in a meaningful way. She achieves this by acting as a community resource, partnering with other agencies and developing engaging programming.
Hanna’s expertise and perspectives are invaluable to our organization. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation Therapy from The University of Toledo, a research-based Master’s Degree in Recreation Therapy from Clemson University and the current pursuit of a Master’s in Social Work at The Ohio State University, she possesses a deep understanding of the field. Her studies at Clemson focused on exploring the transformative impacts of camp involvement on individuals with Down syndrome. Growing up as an active member of the Jewish community and enjoying numerous years as a JCC camper, Hanna has a profound connection to the community. Her unwavering commitment revolves around ensuring that children of all abilities are given the opportunity to engage in a profoundly meaningful camp experience.
