What We Do

What We Do

The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) exists to build a strong and vibrant Jewish community in Columbus and around the world. Through collaboration, advocacy, open communication, education, understanding, and respect, we shall build and deepen our relationships with communities throughout Columbus and beyond.

Community and Government Relations

The JCRC cultivates meaningful relationships with ethnic, religious, business, and academic leaders and strengthens ties with our policy makers.

Israel Education

The JCRC enhances the greater community’s understanding of Israel and foster connections between Columbus and Israel. The JCRC combats efforts to delegitimize Israel, supports efforts to enhance Israel’s security, and actively advocates for a strong US/Israel relationship.

WE ARE ONE against antisemitism

The JCRC responds to local antisemitic and anti-Israel activity, as well as educates our local community about national and global incidents.

The JCRC is the central coordinating and resource organization for the security of the Jewish community in the Columbus area.

The JCRC continues to perpetuate the memory of the unique atrocity of the Holocaust to ensure that it never happens again. Through our Holocaust Education Committee we offer a variety of resources to assist in educating about the Holocaust.
